A decade ago, this was a match that people would have been eager to see. Triple H and Brock Lesnar were top guys on their respective brands. And now, in less than a full year, you are going to see them go at it for the third time. Brock Lesnar won at Summerslam. Triple H won at Wrestlemania. This time, it will be a steel cage match.
Is this really necessary? They already traded wins with each other. Both are obviously not going away, especially since Triple H saved his part-time career. But couldn't they move on? Backlash/Extreme Rules is usually the PPV where matters from Wrestlemania carry over. There is not a whole lot of time to develop new feuds. They might not have been able to develop a new feud for Brock so fast. Thing is, did they really need to feature Brock Lesnar again at a PPV so fast? They could have started planting the seeds for a new feud for Brock that could lead to a PPV match in a month or two.
It would be good if Brock started working with guys other than Cena and Triple H. And I don't mean The Rock. And I sure don't mean 3MB. What about other main-eventers? I would like to see him feud with Randy Orton. The Undertaker is also an option, but they will most likely want to save that for Wrestlemania. CM Punk turning face and going against Lesnar is something a lot of fans are expecting. There is obviously plenty of time for all that. I just hope they do get around to spreading him around better.
