Orton Feuds With Ziggler

Randy Orton now finds himself in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. The two have traded victories recently and will meet again. Of course, this is part of the build Ziggler is getting for his eventual big push. Chris Jericho did a part in helping Ziggler recently, and now the WWE is moving on to Orton.

I would not have had these two feud yet. I was picturing Randy Orton winning the World's Heavyweight Championship down the road and Ziggler cashing in on him, which would then spark the feud between them. When Ziggler does eventually win the title, will he have any fresh big names to feud with? There's always Rey Mysterio, if he is healthy at the time. Still, I think Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton for the title would have been a much better feud for Ziggler down the road. Meanwhile, I would use lesser big names to build up his credibility more. Aside from Mysterio, how about Kane? He is a former World's Heavyweight Champion and won Money in the Bank, just like Ziggler. Kane is frequently used to put over other people. Using him with Ziggler would not have been shocking or too new.

A lot of people might consider this a demotion for Orton. Even though he has been in the main event of Smackdown recently, without even being Champion, he has lost here and there, including tapping out to Alberto Del Rio. As I have said multiple times, it is not unusual to give a centerpiece a rest. However, this sure has been a long rest, if he still is top guy. Smackdown is usually the brand where they pass the ball around better, and I certainly cannot picture Sheamus being pushed hard forever. Movies aside, let's see what the WWE does with Orton.
