You have most of the contenders in the tag division getting the spotlight right now. The Prime Time Players are still holding the titles. The Ascension, New Day, Los Matadores, and Lucha Dragons are in the hunt. I have mixed feelings on this feud. Initially, I liked that there was this kind of focus in the tag division. Spread the attention around.
After thinking about it a little more, why not save this for Night of Champions? Night of Champions is a PPV dedicated to titles. It would make better sense to have a tag-team feud that features so many contenders heading into that PPV. You can have Tag Team Turmoil there.
Thinking about it more, why have this feud at all? This is not the first time this year that the WWE has had a multi-team feud for the titles. They had it at Wrestlemania. They had it at Elimination Chamber. They are doing it again at Summerslam. They will probably do it again before the year ends. How about creating a personal feud between just two teams for the titles at Summerslam? I don't mean just a feud where the tag titles are on the line. Make it more personal. Make it mean more. When John Cena and The Rock went at it for the second time at Wrestlemania, it was about more than just the WWE Championship. It was about Cena bouncing back from his previous loss to The Rock. I am not saying the WWE can produce anything like that in their tag division, but create some kind of solid feud between two teams for the titles. That might make some of these teams feel like more than just lower-midcarders.
