One of the many things that made the
NXT attack on Raw shocking was that it focused on John
Cena. If there was going to be any huge attack to end Raw, the typical thing would be for
Sheamus/Edge to run out to get
Cena, Rey
Mysterio/Big Show run out to stop the heels and get some of Punk, and Swagger to run out to join the fun. In other words, have the eight men in the title matches go at it, with or without Orton. That is not what happened. The
WWE threw a curve ball.
Cena is supposed to have his three opponents for the
PPV on his mind, right? Now he has
NXT to deal with? That is two angles in my book.
Cena "broke his silence" on Twitter. On Twitter, he sold his injuries. Many fans criticize
Cena for not selling well during shows. The fact that he is writing about his injuries on the web does not exactly take the place of real selling, but he is definitely furthering the angle.
This all makes me even more interested in how
Raw's main event will progress. Will the title match build be hurt? Will the
NXT angle have to take a side road for a while? If they can coexist well, I would like to see what that looks like.
