I spoke about Ted DiBiase Jr. recently, but what about his partner from the days of Legacy and Priceless? That would be Cody Rhodes. He is also going down a singles path, having been drafted to Smackdown. He has had some good matches recently. So the move was good for him?
Do not forget that this is not Cody's first run by himself. Before he teamed up with Hardcore Holly, he was a simple face getting exposure on Raw. Nothing really to say. Generic. Difference is, he was a face then. This time, he is now a generic heel. Other than that, what has really changed for Cody? He now has some titles on his resume. He has the fact that he was aligned with Randy Orton. He has beaten some main-eventers. He still has his daddy.
Great things seem to be going on for Ted DiBiase. I cannot see the same for Cody right now. Down the line, he may win the Intercontinental Championship. But how about a storyline? Let him show some character. I already said how that is doing wonders for his partner on Raw. Cody can use some kind of gimmick, and not just that his daddy is a legend. But what?
