I absolutely think they should get a title on Rusev, just to eventually lead to that marriage segment. The periphery has led to a lot of fun gimmicks, storylines, and segments in the history of the diva division. What they have here with Summer Rae and Rusev has potential to be great. As great as Lana was with Rusev, since she did get over off of that angle, Summer Rae can at least benefit just as much. This is the best creative focus she has ever had. As for Rusev, this is creative interest for him. Some guys get phased out or are left just being jobbers to the stars, but Rusev is still in a good position.
What title should he win? The obvious answer would be the United States Championship. Heels currently hold all the other titles in the men's division. John Cena has these open challenges that would make it easy for Rusev to get back the title on any given Raw. They can also wait for The Dudleys to get the tag titles, then have Summer Rae recruit a partner for Rusev to win those titles. That would be making more out of this storyline.
The other way this storyline could go is just for the two to split. Either one of them gets annoyed with the other and they break up. Summer Rae could get upset about Rusev wanting titles over her. Rusev can get frustrated at not winning a title. I do not want to see that happen. At least take it to the wedding segment. A lot of great things can lead up to that and they can make a great elaborate segment out of this.
