Does The WWE Need Ryback?

Ryback does not seem too happy in the WWE anymore. He has been disgruntled about a variety of things. It looks like he may not be sticking around.

Ryback has been in the WWE for many years. His first big angle was being a part of Nexus. An injury took him out for a long time. He came back and got a big push. He was Goldberg-like. He had a few shots at the WWE Championship. He never won it. It took him a while to finally get a title in the WWE, but he got that last year. In between all that, however, he has been featured pretty well. You don't need to be involved in the title scene to be pushed well.

But should the WWE really try to get him to stay? I don't think so. He can talk. He is okay in the ring. He is somewhat charismatic. Overall, I do not think he knocks it out of the park enough to really warrant keeping him. The "Feed Me More" chant may have gotten over and he may have had a lot of momentum at one time, but I don't think he has an A-tier connection with the fans. I would let him go.

There are other guys on the roster to fill his role. Ryback is a big guy. Rusev can play that role. You have Big E. Luke Harper is a big guy a lot of wrestling fans love. It is obviously time for the WWE to move on from Big Show and Kane. With all the investment the WWE has put in Ryback and how long he has been in the WWE, it would have been ideal if he did stay, but I wouldn't bend too much to keep him. The WWE just needs to put that kind of effort into any other decent big guy they have and they should be able to fill the void.
